Victoria University (VU) is a public university based in Melbourne, Australia. It is a dual-sector tertiary institution providing courses in both higher education and Technical and Further Education (TAFE).
The university has several campuses in Melbourne's central business district, western region, and in Sydney. It also offers courses at partner institutions throughout Asia, including China, India, Kuwait, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam. More than 47,000 students, including around 15,000 international students, studied at Victoria University in 2014.[citation needed]
VU has seven academic colleges in arts, business, education, engineering and science, health and biomedicine, law and justice, and sports and exercise science. In addition, VU's Victoria Polytechnic provides vocational education and training.
